The Red Lion Inn is a traditional pub located on the main road through Westbury on Severn. The building is a Grade 2 listed building and dates back to the early 18th century. The pub consists of a timber frame and solid brick building with a restaurant and 2 pub lounges on the ground floor and 4 en-suite bedrooms on the second floor. The single-storey toilets and kitchen extension have been added at a later date.

The new owners looked to upgrade the energy efficiency of this pub by accessing Target 2020 funding. This enabled the owners to install 3 phase electricity supply and LED lighting, induction cooking and two fridges, an induction hob, bottle cooler, upgrade cellar chiller, extractor fan and ice maker. This has made a saving equivalent to over 3 average homes in carbon usage.

Savings Summary

£12,665.20 in grant funding awarded, towards £36,186.31 worth of cooking, lighting and electrical work.
