The Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) supports businesses across the Marches region, with Severn Wye acting as a delivery partner to Herefordshire-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
Severn Wye is working with the Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Worcestershire Business Central and Marches Growth Hub to deliver this service free of charge.
The service is free of charge to eligible Herefordshire SMEs, and includes three valuable offers:

Expert energy advice
including onsite energy survey, analysis of historical energy use, advice report presented onsite and help to create an action plan.

Waste and water reduction recommendations
to help your business make the most of its resources.

Grant funding
to help fund the installation of energy-saving measures. The grants are subject to eligibility criteria, and cover up to 40% of the install costs, depending on the amount of carbon that will be saved from the changes being made.
There is no obligation to access a carbon saving grant to install measures that will reduce your business’ carbon footprint, but most SMEs will choose to do so.
Grant funding is available for a wide variety of physical improvements. Some typical examples of changes that receive grant funding are below.

and other specialist equipment
Renewables
Refrigeration
and other cooling technologies
Energy storage
Heat recovery systems
Eligibility criteria
As with most business support programmes, participation is subject to eligibility criteria. Your business must:
Be situated in Herefordshire (or Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin or Shropshire)
Spend at least £2,000 per year on your energy
Employ fewer than 250 employees
Have an annual turnover not exceeding €50m / balance sheet not exceeding €43m
Ineligible businesses
Certain industries are ineligible, such as primary agriculture, retail businesses, social welfare, education facilities, banking and insurance. Please speak to us if you are unsure whether this applies to your business.
